Awesome wedding we covered for an awesome couple. Somehow we ended up all over the playground!
The saying “there’s no such thing as coincidence” has a special ring to Aileen and Adrian’s love story. Aileen and Adrian, also affectionately known as Lyn and Dre, first met through MySpace. By chance, they would run into each other while Aileen was wearing her “Dre” shirt. Three years later, they happen to play against each other for a volleyball game. Their romance blossomed. Five years and a baby boy together, Aileen and Adrian got married
We were invited to take both their engagement photos and their wedding pictures. It was an absolute blast for us to capture their wedding announcement and witness their special day.
Not much gets by Heather. Luis had to work extra hard to keep her out of the know. So it was a nice surprise to see that his surprise… was still a surprise! We strolled around with this adventurous couple from the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden to Tidal Basin. Congrats!
On a cold morning, Caden coaxed Olivia into taking a stroll along the water of Middle Branch Park. It’s one of her favorite places to take a walk; where you can see a uniquely calming Baltimore skyline. The whole mood of the scene changed dramatically though after Caden proposed. They were both so excited, they could hardly contain themselves. Congrats!
Cold weather only seemed to make these two get a little closer. Siran and Chris took us all over, from Federal Hill, to Mount Vernon, to the George Washington monument in downtown Baltimore. Plus a quick stop for coffee. Did we halfway freeze? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely!
Congratulations to Demetria and Charles! We joined them at the historic Billingsley House in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. As we arrived, we were really surprised with how picturesque the venue was. The Billingsley House is quaint, isolated, and beautiful in every direction. What a great find! Time flew, and night crept up quickly; which was just fine. Demetria and Charles jumped the broom under a peaceful night sky, surrounded by friends and family. Then, as their guests proved, a wedding is bound to be a ton of fun when the guests just can’t wait to start dancing. It felt like everything got turned up after everyone was well fed and – that’s when the partying started! Check out Charles’ garter retrieving skills if you want to see just what we mean!
Arjun and Armine invited us to join their wedding reception at the Hobbit’s Glen Golf Course in Columbia, Maryland on September 3, 2016. As the sun was setting, their family and friends gathered at the clubhouse overlooking the foothills to celebrate their happy occasion. While it was a quiet affair, we could sense the joy as the party chatted and enjoyed their food and drinks.
Molly and Eddie’s future together got off to a hot start! They tied the knot at the gorgeous Piedmont Club, Virginia under a warm summer sun. It was such a touching moment, Eddie may have gotten’ a little weak in the knees. Eddie recounted. “I didn’t lock them! I was trying to alternate knees!” It turned out to be a good idea to loosen the legs up a little. Dancing began almost immediately, and went all night. We stayed as late as we could, and the dance floor was still boogeying!
Our favorite highlights were definitely the bilingual ceremony, watching their daughter Heidi try to keep her happiness bottled, the awesome mariachi band, and seeing some people win money with the fun scratch cards. Congratulations to Molly and Eddie!
We still remember meeting Lauren and Zack for the first time on a chilling winter day. We also remember barely feeling the cold, as they are as warm as people can get. They shared their wedding plans with us, and invited us out to the Ashby Inn in Paris, Virginia. Of course, we were beyond ecstatic for their wedding!
First, the Ashby Inn is a real gem! Inside and (especially outside) it was both quaint and gorgeous. Lauren and Zack had their closest family and friends trekking all the way from Indiana to North Carolina to watch them excitedly exchange their vows. Looking back at the pictures, we can still hear Lauren laughing! We had a blast, and there are so many pictures to share, we had to go back and forth again and again. Enjoy the pictures. We hope it brings you back to the beautiful wedding day for Lauren and Zack.
